Hand-painted fine porcelain oval trinket and jewelry box featuring a shiny cream background with a beautiful flower and leaf design throughout. The lid showcases a charming painted scene of two lovers on a swing in a garden setting, with all design elements heavily outlined in raised gold gilt. The lid trim, box rim, and base are all elegantly finished in gold.
Measures 8"L × 5"W × 1¾"H without lid, 2¾"H with lid. Marked on the underside "Fine Porcelain Hand Painted" with a printed circle marked "14" and a "Made in China" foil sticker. Inside lid bears a printed red circle marked "16."
Condition notes: several minor chips on the box rim, small dark blue paint spots inside from the manufacturing process, and mild scuffing on the base — all visible in photos.
