Large vintage Italian glazed pottery vase in a "bag vase" or "drawstring rope" style, designed to resemble a tied-off bag with a prominent twisted rope handle detail. A sculptural piece that blends form with a fabric-inspired appearance. Color appears light gray or light olive green depending on lighting, with a highly reflective glazed surface.
Stands 13"H with a 9" wide rim, 4" top opening, 9" widest body point, and approximately 6" base. Very large and heavy. Two faint lines on the rim are present from the glazing process — visible in photos. Marked "Made in Italy" via foil sticker; no other maker's markings.
Perfect as a flower vase, standalone display piece, shelf or bookcase decor, or a unique housewarming, birthday, anniversary, or wedding gift.
